The other day, I was talking about cats with a colleague at work
Stray cats often only live for 5 to 6 years, but it is not rare for indoor cats to live for more than 10 years
From that conversation, a question suddenly popped into my mind
However, their daily meals are not guaranteed, and there are dangers from illness and accidents
They get food every day and have a house to shelter them from the rain and wind
Come to think of it, when I was a child, we had a cat at home
Walking freely outside, and having a home to return to when hungry
Of course, nowadays it is recommended to keep cats safely indoors, considering the dangers of traffic accidents and illnesses
Even so, when I think back to that cat from my childhood, a life with both freedom and security seemed quite happy
A life where you have a high income but are chased by work every day and have no peace of mind
A life where you don't have much income, but you have your own time and can enjoy every day
If asked which one I would choose, I would choose the latter
I haven't reached enlightenment enough to say I'm happy without money. (lol)
Happiness is probably not determined solely by the amount of income
When you hold the steering wheel every day, you realize that returning home without an accident is by no means a given
The cat I had when I was a child would roam outside and come home when it
