In the summer, I used to sleep with the bedroom door closed to keep the air conditioning effective. However, in the middle of the night
They would scratch at the door while meowing because they wanted to go to the bathroom

I can sleep soundly at night : The scratching attacks have dropped to zero. This is the biggest benefit
Heating and cooling are more effective : I can keep the door closed, so it's comfortable in both summer and winter
I've been freed from being the door-opening attendant : The cats can go between rooms as they please
The cats are more relaxed : Since they can go where they want when they want, both of them are spending their time freely
